أصدر مجلس حكومة ولاية الجزيرة توجيهًا رسميًا ونهائيًا بعدم حرمان أي طالب من الجلوس لامتحانات الشهادة الثانوية السودانية لهذا العام، بسبب العجز عن سداد الرسوم الدراسية، مؤكدًا التزامه الكامل بدعم الطلاب المتأثرين بالحرب.
التوجيه جاء خلال اجتماع المجلس برئاسة والي الولاية الأستاذ الطاهر إبراهيم الخير، والذي شدد على ضرورة توفير بيئة تعليمية منصفة تضمن فرص التعليم للجميع، لاسيما في ظل الأوضاع الاستثنائية التي خلفها النزاع المسلح في البلاد.
28,342 طالبًا يستعدون للامتحانات كشف عبدالله أبو الكرام، مدير وزارة التربية والتعليم بالولاية، أن العدد الكلي للطلاب المتقدمين بلغ 28,342 طالبًا وطالبة موزعين على 792 مركزًا امتحانيًا، فيما يتجاوز عدد الطلاب المعسرين حاجز الـ6,000، وهو ما استدعى التدخل الفوري من حكومة الولاية.
ملفات أخرى على طاولة المجلس تطرقت وزارة الإنتاج والموارد الاقتصادية إلى آخر ترتيبات الموسم الزراعي، معلنة اكتمال المساحات المستهدفة للموسم المطري، مع التأكيد على أهمية حل مشكلة الكهرباء وتوفير المدخلات الزراعية الأساسية لضمان موسم ناجح.
كما استعرض الاجتماع إجراءات الطوارئ لموسم الخريف القادم، والتدابير المتعلقة بالوقاية من الأضرار البيئية والصحية المحتملة جراء السيول والأمطار.
