أعلنت الهيئة العامة للكهرباء في السودان، اليوم، عن انقطاع الإمداد الكهربائي في ولايتي نهر النيل والبحر الأحمر، نتيجة استهداف المليشيا محطة عطبرة التحويلية بطائرات مسيّرة.
وأوضحت الهيئة أن الهجوم أسفر عن أضرار جسيمة في المحطة، مما تسبب في توقف الإمداد الكهربائي عن مناطق واسعة في الولايتين. وأكدت فرق الطوارئ أنها تعمل على تقييم حجم الأضرار وبدء عمليات الصيانة في أقرب وقت ممكن لإعادة الخدمة للمواطنين.
ويأتي هذا التطور في ظل تصاعد الهجمات على البنية التحتية الحيوية بالبلاد، وسط مطالبات بتوفير الحماية الكاملة للمرافق الاستراتيجية.
