أعلنت وزارة الخارجية السودانية، اليوم، أن رئيس مجلس السيادة الانتقالي أصدر قرارًا رسميًا بتشكيل لجنة وطنية للتحقيق في المزاعم التي أوردتها الولايات المتحدة الأميركية بشأن استخدام أسلحة كيميائية داخل الأراضي السودانية.
وبحسب البيان، فإن اللجنة ستضم في عضويتها ممثلين من كل من:
وزارة الخارجية
وزارة الدفاع
جهاز المخابرات العامة
وأكدت الخارجية أن تشكيل اللجنة يأتي في إطار الشفافية والتعاون مع المجتمع الدولي، ونفي ما وصِف بـ”الادعاءات الخطيرة” التي تداولتها بعض الجهات الإعلامية والدبلوماسية مؤخرًا.
وأشار البيان إلى أن اللجنة ستتولى التحقيق الميداني والتحقق الفني من المزاعم، ورفع تقرير شامل إلى الجهات العليا، كما ستُخطر المؤسسات الدولية ذات الصلة بالنتائج التي سيتم التوصل إليها.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن وزارة الخارجية جددت في وقت سابق نفيها القاطع لاستخدام أي أسلحة محظورة في العمليات العسكرية، مؤكدة التزام السودان بالمعاهدات الدولية، لا سيما اتفاقية حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية.
ويأتي هذا التطور وسط تفاعل دولي متزايد مع الملف السوداني، خاصة في ظل تصاعد المواجهات العسكرية وتزايد التقارير الحقوقية، ما يجعل مصداقية الحكومة السودانية على المحك أمام المجتمع الدولي.
